MedinSwiss is a humanitarian organization that provides medical support to the inhabitants of the Medina region in Saudi Arabia. It operates by supplying specialized equipment and medical expertise. As its name suggests, it is a Swiss organization, ensuring the neutrality of its commitments.
MedinSwiss: a name that carries meaning in providing assistance. The goal was to encapsulate within a single symbol all the subtleties inherent in the organization's name: medical aid made in Swiss for Medina.
Since the establishment of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva in 1863, the organization has used an emblem featuring a Swiss flag with inverted colors. Recognized by the Geneva Conventions, it symbolizes both unity and universality, as well as protection and neutrality.
These two symbols were therefore ideal for conveying MedinSwiss's humanitarian message. Combined with the arches of the Medina gates of the Prophet's Mosque (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi) and used both in red on a white background and white on a red background, MedinSwiss's crosses form a unique symbol that encapsulates the organization's values.
